artist feature Karen Grosman is up! She is a very talented painter that focuses on the power struggles within society. such a great topic. we all face our own struggles everyday and it’s nice to see it from a different perspective to give us more insights and outlooks towards them. dealing with issues in today’s society is harder then ever and having a medium to help us see them in a different light is always helpful.
the shoot with Karen was great! i actually had to shoot her twice because my first roll of film got underdeveloped. wasn’t all that bad though, i got to see Karen twice and it’s always great to talk with someone with such a great attitude towards their passion. she invited me into her home where i shot her in her room and her studio. i loved her worn out over the years of painting carpet/rug that she had in her studio. things can have such great character!
